Starting June 6, the waterfront plaza transforms into an open-air dance floor—no cover, no experience required.
Lake Anne Plaza in Reston, Virginia, is bringing back its free Friday night dance series this summer. Every Friday from 7 to 10 p.m., the plaza opens its bricks to DJs, live bands, and anyone ready to move. All ages are welcome. No tickets. No dress code. Just show up.
A New Sound Every Week
The lineup rotates weekly, so one Friday might bring Motown and salsa; the next, indie rock, Top 40, or hip-hop. Local DJs and regional bands share the stage, keeping the energy unpredictable and the dance floor full. Whether you take classes every week or haven't danced since prom, the mix of waterfront breeze, string lights, and open space makes it easy to loosen up.
What to Know Before You Go
- Food and drink: On-site vendors will be open throughout the night. Grab tacos, ice cream, or a cold drink without leaving the plaza.
- Parking: Street parking around Lake Anne Plaza is free after 6 p.m. The plaza is also a five-minute walk from the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station.
