Sunny Kaushal kept it short and emphatic: "Dayum!"
That was the Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba actor's entire reaction to Sharvari Wagh's latest dance number, "Taras" — and in the world of celebrity social media, the single-word comment was enough to send fans into a frenzy.
What is 'Taras'?
"Taras" is an upbeat dance track from the horror-comedy Munjya, released by Maddock Films on June 21. The song, composed by Sachin-Jigar with vocals by Jasmine Sandlas, has racked up over 50 million views on YouTube in under two weeks. Choreographed by Vijay Ganguly, the number features Wagh in a high-energy desert setup, blending folk-inspired moves with contemporary commercial choreography.
Sharvari's Standout Performance
Wagh, 28, trained intensively for the sequence, reportedly rehearsing for three weeks before filming in Rajasthan's scorching heat. The result is a physically demanding performance — rapid dhol-driven footwork, sharp isolations, and sustained energy through nearly four minutes of screen time. Industry observers have noted that the number marks her most prominent solo dance showcase to date, following smaller ensemble pieces in Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021) and Maharaj (2024).
Fan response has been equally enthusiastic. Social media clips of her hook step have proliferated across Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, with several dance influencers posting covers within days of release.
Sunny's Public Seal of Approval
Kaushal and Wagh, who have reportedly been linked since 2020, have generally kept their relationship out of the spotlight. Neither has officially confirmed their status, and public interactions between the two are rare. That made Kaushal's comment — left under Wagh's Instagram post promoting the song — particularly noticeable to followers.
The brief exchange underscores a shift in their usually low-key dynamic. Where previous appearances together have been limited to airport sightings and occasional dinner outings, this was a direct, unfiltered show of support on a major promotional post.
What's Next for Both Actors
Wagh is currently filming Alpha, a YRF spy universe installment alongside Alia Bhatt. Kaushal, meanwhile, will appear in the streaming series The Waking of a Nation later this year. Whether "Taras" leads to more dance-focused roles for Wagh remains to be seen, but the track has already done what a hit promotional song is meant to do: put its performer squarely in the conversation.
