For one weekend this May, Pine Creek City becomes the unlikely capital of swing.
On May 11, 2024, the historic Millwright Ballroom opens its doors to dancers from across the region for an intimate, intensive day of masterclasses capped at just 80 participants. This isn't a crowded convention floor—it's a curated experience designed for dancers who want personalized feedback, authentic connection, and a serious upgrade to their skills.
Learn From the Best
This year's lineup brings genuine star power. Leading the charge are 2019 International Lindy Hop Champions Maria Santos (Buenos Aires) and Jake Kim (Seoul), joined by Pine Creek's own Diane Porter, whose weekly socials have kept local swing alive for over two decades. Together, they'll cover Lindy Hop, Balboa, and West Coast Swing—from foundational technique to advanced improvisation.
What to Expect
- Morning technique intensives: Small-group sessions focused on partnership, rhythm, and body mechanics
- Afternoon style workshops: Dive deep into Lindy Hop aerials, Balboa connection, and West Coast Swing musicality
- Live band social dance: Put your new moves to the test with a 9 p.m. dance featuring The Jump Cats Quartet
- Direct instructor feedback: With only 80 spots, you'll get eyes-on coaching, not demo-and-pray
- Community building: Structured networking time for dancers who want partners, not just playlists
