Disney+ will premiere a new collection of Bluey minisodes this July, with a first-look teaser offering a glimpse of the Heeler sisters in a music-driven short.
What the Teaser Shows
The preview spotlights Bluey and younger sister Bingo performing a choreographed dance routine to an original, upbeat track. The footage appears to take place in the Heelers' familiar backyard, with the pair mirroring moves in the show's signature bright, fluid animation style. No additional family members are shown in the released clip, though previous minisodes have incorporated brief appearances from parents Bandit and Chilli.
Understanding the Minisode Format
These shorts run shorter than Bluey's standard seven-minute episodes. The earlier batch of minisodes, which debuted in 2024, typically clocked in at roughly three to four minutes each and served as standalone play-based vignettes rather than serialized continuations. They filled gaps between full seasons while maintaining the series' emotional nuance and imaginative storytelling. Disney+ has not yet confirmed the total episode count or precise runtime for this incoming set.
Why the Series Matters
Bluey premiered on ABC Kids in Australia in 2018 before expanding into a global phenomenon through Disney+ distribution. Created by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio, the show follows six-year-old Blue Heeler pup Bluey as she navigates everyday family life through elaborate games and pretend scenarios. It has drawn particular praise for its authentic parent-child dynamics and layered writing that resonates with adult viewers as well as preschool audiences.
Release Details
The new Bluey minisodes premiere on Disney+ in July 2025. All three previous seasons of the series remain available to stream on the platform.
